Introduction to TeamWatch™

Dear New York constituents,

The goal of TeamWatch™  is to improve communication between representatives and their constituents.  TeamWatch™  monitors job performance of elected officials and the politics of  townships, counties, and districts through organized working teams.

The pillars of TeamWatch™ are Accountability and Responsibility.

Elected officials are accountable to uphold the integrity of the Constitution and make legislative decisions according to the collective Will of the People they represent.

Constituents are responsible to assist, monitor, communicate with, and hold elected representatives accountable in the duties they have been hired to perform.

TeamWatch™  seeks to provide the resources and tools necessary to accomplish these goals.

We believe one  reason citizen protest movements may not  be as effective as desired is that most citizens engage the process of political  activism as disgruntled taxpayers and voters. Activism is therefore reactionary rather than proactive.

On November 2, 2010 Americans witnessed the US House return to a Republican majority and balance to the US Senate. The election of 2011 resulted in many New York State incumbents being tossed by voters in surprise upsets. This was the outcome of an informed, outraged, and motivated electorate.

Constituents ask, “How do we hold our  representatives accountable after elections; to the Constitution and the will of the people?” It will happen when constituents take responsibility to monitor and interact with their government.

TeamWatch™  is one way to bridge the gap between civic responsibility of the constituent and accountability of the elected official.

We hope you join us for a better New York and  America.

The program is fivefold:

1. Communication between TeamWatch™   and elected representatives through email, phone and personal interviews

2. Town Hall meetings with constituents and representatives when they are in their home districts and informative phone conferences when necessary

3. Regular monitoring by TeamWatch™   members of elected representatives duties, needs, voting record, appointments to committees, and sponsored legislation

The People are responsible to hold their elected representatives accountable. You are the people.

    Hats off to Mitt Romney

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee refused to apologize yesterday for his father’s success in the business world — after President Obama subtly tried to throw dirt on it. “I’m certainly not going to apologize for my dad and his success in life,” Romney said.
